The Associate Director of Annual Giving will focus on increasing alumni participation and driving revenue. Specifically responsible for managing a portfolio of donors who give up to $5,000 in a fiscal year with capacity to give more and have a goal of acquiring new donors; cultivating their portfolio; having a donor meeting goal of 120 donors annually; working closely with their colleagues to leverage regional and affinity programs in an effort to increase philanthropy; cultivating meaningful relationships with donors and colleagues; and being an active member of the Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team.WHAT YOU WILL DOExecute best fundraising practices prioritizing donor retention and acquisition while leveraging fundraising opportunities such as Back to Babson and other events held locally, domestically, and internationally.Manage a portfolio with the objective of identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospects with capacity to make a financial philanthropic commitment to Babson College.Create and execute on a strategy to manage a portfolio of approximately 800 annual fund donors who demonstrate an interest in supporting the College on an annual basis.Solicit donors for gifts up to $5,000 and identify major gift donors.Achieve 75% retention rate of donors from the previous fiscal year.Acquire new donors to increase alumni participation and drive revenue.Launch a parent giving program in partnership with the Director, Annual Giving with a goal of increasing revenue and expanding the major gifts pipeline through cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship best practices.Maintain strong communication links with internal and external partners to ensure a coordinated approach to prospect engagement.Collaborate with the regional team to connect with donors in major cities and leverage events for fundraising opportunities. Engage alumni philanthropically through affinity programming.Contribute to the planning and execution of giving days and other fundraising campaigns.Assume additional responsibilities as required.YOUR TEAM WILL INCLUDEN/AWHAT EDUCATION AND SKILLS YOU WILL NEEDBachelor's DegreeAt least 6-8 years of experience in fundraising or similar relevant experienceMust have outstanding communication and interpersonal skillsMust have strong organizational skills, time management skills, oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and with interruptionsMust be able to handle sensitive material confidentially.Ability to work collaboratively across multiple constituenciesMust have a strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.Ability to envision and propose new methods to perform tasks that support ET&A; work independently to solve problems; look for opportunities to take on responsibility; take thoughtful risks; and accept new and ongoing initiatives, objectives, and solutions to gain sought-after results.Ability to anticipate and embrace change; demonstrate willingness to achieve, acquire, and utilize new skills and challenging tasks; and is flexible in changing conditions.Must have strong technological skills for Microsoft Office or Google products such as Word, Excel and other databases, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as experience with CRM systems.HOW AND WHERE YOU WILL WORKAll Babson College faculty and staff authorized to work on campus must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any appropriate boosters.
