The Manager of Logistics will oversee and manage the operations of the logistics function and warehouse.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees the day-to-day workflow of the logistics function and warehouse. Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Duties/Responsibilities: Develops the logistics function to provide a variety of services including warehousing, distribution, full-service transportation, materials management, and related functions. Gathers needed information on and understanding of customer demands; meets specific needs for delivering, shipping, inventory management, distribution, and fulfillment of orders. Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, new services, and further expansion of logistics and warehouse functions. Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues. Routes deliveries, assigns and schedules correct staff and vehicles to maximize efficiencies, reduce costs, and minimize waste. Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service to clients. Performs other related duties as assigned.
