OBXtek is currently is currently accepting resumes for a contingent position supporting the Army's Product Manager Power Projection Enablers (PdM P2E) organization. Place of performance for the Technical Writer, Senior will be located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Assist in the development and writing of descriptive technical manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), program processes, Continuity Of Operations (CONOPS), requirement documents, acquisitions documents, and various other documentation on complex subjects used in a program management office (PMO).
The start date for this position is TBD, in 1st quarter of FY-2023.
Below is a list of expectations the candidate must meet for this effort:
Researching topics, writing documents and editing their work for publication. • Assist Technical Leads in writing technical documentation for IT and networking hardware/software systems development, implementation, and operation.
Assist Technical Leads in writing necessary documentation for the Government to undertake and manage project system acquisitions.
Assist Technical Leads in writing necessary documentation for Continuity of Operations for • Assist the PMO in writing necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and program IT and networking hardware/software systems processes
Assist the PMO in writing requirement documents, acquisitions documents, and various other documentation on complex subjects used in a PMO.
Manage updates and revisions to Infrastructure Technology technical literature. • Adept in quickly grasping complex technical concepts and making them understandable in text and online help.
Use and contribute to the company's style and branding guide.
Create and maintain a comprehensive list of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) directly related to this role.
Translate complex and technical information into an intuitive and straightforward format that is easy to digest.
Standardize learning designs material across various media (SharePoint, web portal, documents repository) according to organizational templates, branding standards and style guidelines.
Recommend new tools, support materials and learning opportunities for the team you will be supporting.
Travel can be expected 50% of the time.
Travel will consist of weeks' long trips both CONUS and OCONUS.
Must be readily deployable (medically and administratively) to travel within 72 hours in any environment including contingency operations.
8-10 years of relatable Technical Writing functions.
Bachelor's Degree, preferably a MA/MS degree
