Your New Role

Are you an excellent communicator, passionate and committed to delivering great customer service and business growth? Survitec now has an exciting opportunity for you to come on board as our brand-new Sales Operations Manager in the US.

You will be part of our Sales family who are dedicated to driving organic business growth and providing deep customer insights back to the Product team, ensuring Survitec deeply understands customer needs.

You will report to the Head of Sales operations and provide specialist sales process support, guidance, and coaching to allocated sales colleagues; you will support change implementation of global sales programmes and initiatives. You will support complex and high value bids with financial analysis and process guidance to ensure increased win rate. 

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Provide development coaching, support and advice to sales colleagues to implement and embed sales process and systems best practice
  • Support allocated sales colleagues to get the best out of the sales systems provided, identifying usage patterns and determining development needs that best exploit system functionality
  • Support complex or high value bids with financial analysis, process management, team support and coaching to structure and present winning bids; manage the Bid / No-bid and tender vet (TVET) processes; manage bid budget, ensuring effective tracking of overall return on investments
  • Support business planning and analysis by providing market / geography / customer specific deep insight; conduct primary research as needed to ensure quality and reach of sales information 
  • Contribute to the written bid proposal, providing insight and support for how material is presented
  • Work collaboratively to understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues that may affect delivery or commercial viability of products and services laid out in the bid 
  • Provide commercial business partnering support to Head of Sales colleagues 
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
  • Prioritise workflows to ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
  • Arrange and manage all post bid reviews with customers (post contract award) 
  • Contribute to reviewing performance indicators, generating new ideas in support of driving continuous improvement in bid performance and management processes

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with the ability to multitask against deadlines
  • Educated to University Degree Level
  • 3+ years job-related experience
  • 1+ years supervising and developing colleagues
  • Experienced in communicating with stakeholders of all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
