What do we do?

Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel software defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, emitter location, and interference cancellation. Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources. Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and submarines. Azure also offers innovative signal processing solutions to challenging problems in the realm of radio frequency spectrum awareness.

 

What will you do?

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager. The successful candidate will be wholly responsible for Azure Summit's supply chain function, reporting directly to the President and CEO.  They will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at either of our facilities in Fairfax, Virginia and Melbourne, Florida, with occasional travel to the other location, and to our major vendors located throughout the United States. Your future teammates have worked together to produce the following job description:

 

The selected candidate will be responsible for subcontracts and procurement of subcontractor and other services and materials across all Azure production programs, research and development efforts, and other business activities.

 

Responsibilities include:

 - Working with technical, quality assurance, and program management personnel to identify and qualify subcontractors and other service suppliers

- Obtaining quotations from prospective suppliers and negotiating favorable pricing, delivery schedules, credit and other terms

- Processing purchase requisitions

- Develop statements of works and other requirements specifications and use them to develop and issue RFQs and RFPs

- Negotiating pricing, terms and conditions with subcontractors and service providers in coordination with Azure program management staff and other internal stakeholders

- Preparing, issuing and tracking/expediting purchase orders, working closely with vendors to proactively monitor for and mitigate material availability issues

- Ensuring compliance of subcontracting activities with all applicable contract terms, conditions, flow-downs, and Government procurement regulations

- Negotiating terms and conditions, awarding subcontracts and all associated administration

- Subcontracting and/or purchasing all services needed for business execution including but not limited to property services, professional consulting, and insurance

- Maintaining subcontracting and supplier records in accordance with Azure policy and contract requirements

- Supporting Government and internal audits as required

- The selected candidate will also provide occasional back-up support for contracts management as needed.

 

Basic Requirements

- US citizenship, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement

- DoD SECRET clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirement

- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, another relevant field, or equivalent experience

- Minimum 10 years' supply chain management experience for Department of Defense contractors

- Knowledge of applicable FAR/DFARS requirements and DCMA/DCAA regulations

 

Preferred Qualifications

- Strong written, interpersonal and customer-focus skills

- Strong analytical skills, work ethic, and attention to detail, schedule and cost

- Ability to multi-task, and to quickly adapt to changing deadlines and priorities

- Proficiency with developing, maintaining, and using spreadsheet data in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for data collection, analysis, and tracking

- DoD TS/SCI clearance

- Experience with Contractor Purchasing System Reviews

- Minimum 5 years’ experience working with Costpoint or an equivalent material management system

- Minimum 5 years subcontracting and/or contracting experience for Department of Defense contractors

- Experience in an AS91000D production environment

- Experience working with SharePoint, SVN, or other data repository tools
