SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (346/347/348)

PS is seeking a full time System Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be working on cutting edge technology directly supporting the warfighter. You will apply knowledge and skills providing technical engineering support for production, testing, fielding and integration of DoD deployable Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) Systems.

Working Conditions

Government/DoD Navy site with 30% travel. Possible off-hours work to support trouble tickets and outages. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time. The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, there may be some hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within a secure laboratory or tactical environment, with some standard office equipment available.

Job Duties Include (but Not Limited To)

• Developing and performing Systems Administrator duties on designated systems to include diagnostics, patch management, scanning, and settings management
• Developing processes for troubleshooting issues and reporting findings.
• Responsible for supporting the testing and fielding of systems
• Developing and troubleshooting scripts to automate server builds and patching
• Mentoring lower-level System Administrators

Requirements
LEVEL I 1-3 years of experience supporting IT/IS Systems in domain environment
LEVEL II 3-5 years of experience supporting IT/IS Systems in a domain environment
LEVEL III 5+ years of expertise experience supporting IT/IS Systems in a domain environment

• Expertise troubleshooting Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, in domain environments
• Expertise troubleshooting TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Email, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, SMS issues
• Expertise administering machines running Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016 or Redhat
• Expertise in Perl, Python, VBScript, Windows PowerShell or Ansible
• Expertise with MS SQL Server 2012, IIS and Certificate Management
• Expertise building, troubleshooting, and maintaining virtual machines with VMware
• Expertise with WSUS centralized patching and configuration solutions
• Expertise with Storage Area Networks (SANS)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; work well in a team or alone
• Motivated to quickly increase knowledge and skills; may require effort on personal time
• Ability to adapt and overcome technical challenges in stressful situations
• Ability to explain technical concepts to inexperienced users
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong operating system commands/utilities skills
• Able and willing to travel
• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Education & Certifications

• A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field or have 5+ years of experience supporting IT/IS systems in a DoD environment
• CompTIA Security+ higher that meets DoD 8570 Requirements

Security Clearance

An active Secret clearance is required

Desired Skills/Other Considerations

• Experience supporting DoD Command and Control (C2) systems and IA requirements
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting MS Exchange Server 2016
• Experience with Host Based Security System (HBSS)
• Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
• Experience with Data Cabling / Computer Facilities maintenance
• Experience in Perl, Python, VBScript, Windows PowerShell or Ansible
• Familiar with server repair/installation, knowledge of main internal components of a system, replacement of these parts; ability to install software, operating systems, drivers, maintain RAID controllers, etc.
