What You’ll Do at IronArch Technology

 

IronArch Technology is currently looking for a Director of Employee Experience & Culture to lead our People First Program for our growing company.  The Director will play a pivotal role in contributing to the strengthening of the corporate culture, handle employee relations, administer benefits programs and take on other responsibilities as they grow. The right individual will not only be hungry for challenge and growth, but also care deeply about culture, be energized, creatively work through challenges, and be excited at the thought of joining this team. A successful candidate cares about building an employee focused culture and has experience developing employee programs from the ground up in the virtual space. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced human resources executive who views human resources as a vital business driver and welcomes the opportunity to serve as a business leader with the ability to make an important impact on the performance of the employees and company. 

The Director of Employee Experience & Culture will have full human resource functional responsibility over the IronArch culture and human resources activities including overall leadership, establishing policies and procedures, and developing and maintaining human resources programs and initiatives consistent with the unique culture and strategic plan of the organization. In addition to developing and implementing strategic and tactical initiatives that provide highly effective human resources capabilities to the organization, the Director will serve as an advisor to the senior leadership team and to the CEO.

Responsibilities will include:

• Providing broad-based advice to the CEO and to senior leadership on the overall management of the business and on specific human resources issues.
• Ongoing evaluation of existing talent and driving change to ensure the appropriate level of skills and experience are present to accomplish the organization’s goals. He/she will pay particular attention to ensuring that an effective ongoing talent assessment process is sustained and includes an appraisal process, performance standards and related compensation recommendations.
• Strengthening and maintaining the unique IronArch culture through strategic people leadership and management of a full range of human resources functions including:

            - Human resources administration, 401k, onboarding, and HRIS

            - Performance planning, assessment and development

            - Organizational and management development - including training and education and in 

               conjunction with existing programs

            - Change management as required

            - Compensation and benefits, including executive compensation matters

            - Compliance, diversity, employee relations, and legal HR requirements

• Create out of the box initiatives to enhance the virtual employee experience throughout the employee life cycle. 
• Lead, organize and produce corporate events that provide meaningful experiences for employees to connect remotely.
• Manage programs and initiatives that focus on promoting employee appreciation and recognition.
• Identify and source virtual tools and resources to form a virtual team community.
• Assuring compliance with existing employment laws and regulations while staying abreast of employment trends and best practices, including developing and maintaining affirmative action program; filing EEO-1 report annually and maintaining other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
• Ensure IronArch practices what it preaches by leading culture initiatives to measure and strengthen culture, including measuring the culture throughout the year using our HRIS survey tool. 
• Establishing credibility quickly and definitively within all levels of the organization to allow successful implementation of initiatives.
• Provide leadership on personnel policies and programs consistent with the strategic direction and desired company culture, including interacting effectively with employees throughout the organization at all levels.

Requirements

• 10+ years of broad human resources experience gained in a progressive, best practices services or related environment, including government contracting experience. Must have experience at a small business. 
• 5+ year of experience should be in a leadership role capacity. 
• An undergraduate degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or a related field. Equivalent work and life experience will be considered. 
• Must have experience in a highly customer-focused business with multiple locations, including experience in HR, training, benefits, culture and employee relations.
• Must be a hands-on team builder who has had success in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Demonstrated experience as a strategic thinker and decision maker who can delve into the tactical complexities of this growing organization and make a true impact.
• Strong management and team building skills, which motivates employees and others and generates confidence and respect from all levels of the organization and outside stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a hands-on, strategic role.
• Established executive presence and courage of conviction in expressing his or her point of view. 
• Values-driven, including impeccable integrity and ethical standards, a commitment to driving employee and customer satisfaction, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Payroll experience/support would be a plus.
• High energy, sense of urgency, and a self-starter. 
• Technically savvy and comfortable with all social media platforms.
