TRISTAR is seeking a Program Manager Research & Development (R&D) Support for our upcoming government customer in Picatinny Arsenal, NJ
Program Manager Research & Development (R&D) Support Position Description:
Provide Technical R&D support to PM Soldier Weapons (SW)
Provide program acquisition recommendations, program coordination and guidance to support the decision-making process for the PM SW Systems Engineering Director, Deputy PMs, Division Chiefs and Product Directors
This is accomplished through leading and attending Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, providing research, analyses, and reports, reviewing, and contributing to the preparation of original documents that encompass PM SW Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) activities and the transition of products or technologies from RDT&E agencies
These efforts will be provided in support of research and development, production and fielding of small caliber ammunition, weapon systems and remote weapon stations and platforms
Program Manager Research & Development (R&D) Support Position Responsibilities:
Serve as an on-site Technology, Systems Integration Action Officer in the office of PM SW at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ for programs in research and development as well as those in production
This shall include planning, executing, and monitoring small arms elements
Attend, analyze, and report on meetings; review documents
Contributes to the preparation of original documents, analyzes the cost, performance, risk, Manpower & Personnel Integration (MANPRINT), Small Business Initial Research (SBIR), Rapid Innovation Fund (RIF), and other external RDT&E funded initiatives, schedule, and logistics impacts of program
Provides recommendations and courses of action
Ensure that the RDT&E budget justifications are aligned to the forecasted PM SW 6.4 and 6.5 projects and traceability exists between these RDT&E initiatives and associated feeder RDT&E 6.2 and 6.3 efforts executed by other government agencies including preparation of R-forms and associated funding prioritization documentation
Monitor the execution of program plans emphasizing cost, performance tracking, integration, and production planning, as well as overseeing developmental and operational testing and evaluation
Conducts, coordinates, and participates in regular IPT meetings on assigned programs to ensure satisfactory progress and established milestone schedules are met or exceeded.
Assist in the preparation of all documentation that supports system milestone decisions
Assist in the coordination, review, and answering of TASKERS, Export Cases, and other Foreign Military Sales (FMS) activities
Program Manager Research & Development (R&D) Support Position Requirements:
12 Years of professional experience
Preferably has extensive knowledge and experience in subject matter and has directly supported similar programs
Must possess a SECRET clearance
Must have completed a National Agency Check (NAC) prior to employment, is subject to a criminal background check and must complete a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Must be a US Citizen
Program Manager Research & Development (R&D) Support Education and Certification:
B.S. Engineering or B.S. Logistics
