Location: Anaheim, CA

**Incumbent eligible for a $500 signing bonus payable after 6 months of continuous service provided they are a direct hire and not from a staffing agency**

Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for updating and maintaining raw materials inventory accuracy in several different computer systems.  This would include, but not limited to, entering all receivers, production consumptions, adjustments and location transfers by item and lot number. The work assignment will be performed in an office setting as well as the warehouse.  The IC Specialist will ensure the integrity of the inventory and proper policies and procedures are being followed. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Input raw material/ingredient receipts data into various inventory management systems.
  • Copy receivers on items that require Cold Storage and forward to Accounting for billing purposes.
  • Update/close the Purchase Orders in the various inventory management systems.
  • Notify the Production Planning Department of any discrepancies between what was ordered and what was received.
  • Prepare summarization of daily production batch sheets by using blend sheets and production report.
  • Scan all documents relating to daily inventory activity and save in appropriate customer folders.
  • Email customers daily with all activity from the prior day.
  • Maintain Production Spreadsheet with daily production for use at Month-End.
  • Communicate with Blending Department regarding quantity and/or Lot Number discrepancies.
  • Key Cycle Counts. 
  • Research and reconcile all discrepancies daily.
  • Research raw materials variances by lot number and identify root cause.
  • Work with the Production Planning Department  to insure shelf-life and storage conditions for each item are up to date.
  • Assist materials receiving in acquiring missing Certificate of Analysis.
  • Maintain Loss Allowance spreadsheet used to analyze raw materials gains/losses.
  • Analyze reports submitted by customers for consistency and accuracy against NCB data.
  • Assist in Customer on-site inventory audits.
  • Perform and document traceability exercises regularly.
  • Supply Blend Room and Inventory Control lift truck operators with pick tickets for upcoming production runs.
  • Create Post Count sheets for all items being produced daily.
  • Create Blind Count sheets for items that have not been counted throughout the month.
  • Track and communicate upcoming material/ingredient expiration dates.
  • Communicate with the Production Planning Department regarding shelf-life storage conditions that differ from what is currently on file.
  • Assist with month-end tasks.
  • Assist lift truck operators in the warehouse with printing and stickering all materials/ingredients upon arrival.
  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safely as possible at all times.
  • Flexibility to take on other tasks relating to departmental needs.
  • Participate in departmental GMP zone audits.
  • Participate, as required by the department manager, in Plant Quality System implementation and subsequent audits.
  • General
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
    • All other duties as assigned.
    • Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
    • Regular and punctual attendance.

 .Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • High School Diploma required;
  • 8-10 years’ experience;
  • Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be computer literate, experience with the following systems preferred: SAP, AS400, Avail, ILS,
  • Must be proficient in MicroSoft Office

 Language Skills: English, Spanish helpful

 Amount of Travel Involved: Up to 20%
