TRISTAR is seeking a Material Coordinator II for our government customer in Crane, IN. - This position is semi-remote and must be able to make daily trips to the Shipyard and FedEx. Must live in the Norfolk VA area
The Material Coordinator coordinates and expedites flow of material, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules or department supervisors' priorities
Reviews production schedules to determine material required or overdue and to locate material, requisitions material and establishes delivery sequences to departments according to job order priorities and anticipated availability of material
Arranges for in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules, and for repair and assembly of material and its transportation to various departments, and examines material delivered to production departments to verify if type specified
Tracking, transporting, and reporting Government property Transporting equipment to the San Diego Port and warehouses Utilizes Government software and tools to track, manage, and disposition equipment
2 years' experience with the tracking of assets, flow of materials, shipment timelines, and compiling reports
Job task requires skill in operating an alphanumeric keyboard, and an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment
Valid Drivers License
MUST be a US Citizen
Successful candidate should have an active Secret Security Clearance or must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of secret level or higher; interim may be required before starting
