I. General Job Description

This position will be responsible for the improvement of customer satisfaction with Service Department operations, achieving planned sales and profitability objectives while adhering to the Company’s established procedures for business conduct, safety, and personnel administration.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility to improve customer satisfaction is the prime responsibility of the Product support manager while also ensuring that the product strategy are applied successfully.
  • Product support manager has to work closely with other departments which contributes to the overall customer experience
  • Product support manager has to assist the technician base in improving the efficiency of the shop while reducing down time for the customer. 
  • Product support manager will make calls to targeted customers to explain and promote the company’s products, services, features and benefits to convert them as a customer.
  • Ensuring customers are satisfied while also being involved should any customers face issues with the product, Product support manager responsibility is to solve those issues and ensure that customers are satisfied.
  • Researching and finding out new opportunities to improve customer satisfaction while also implementing functions to be implemented to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Provide an effective communication between marketing, sales, service and parts departments ensuring the product strategy be executed well without any issues or delay. 
  • Reporting the status of the product strategy and customer satisfaction to his/her direct report along with the needs raised by each department and customer base, which will support the overall product strategy.
  • Position will require travel based upon customer and company needs.
     

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

· 18 years of age.

· High school graduate

· Experience and knowledge in working with Sales, Marketing, Parts and Service departments preferred

· Must have both mechanical and technical experience, with a minimum 5 years in a related field. 

· Have strong communication and interpersonal skills to gel with other departments and supervisors.

· Must have all the skills to prepare project documentation

· Must have good training skills, working closely with other departments and assist them according to the product strategy.

· Basic computer skills required with a focus on Microsoft Excel and Word. 

III. Desired Job Qualifications

· Background as a heavy-duty truck technician preferred

· Intermediate to advanced knowledge off Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Strong organization, communication, customer service, managerial, and leadership skills.

IV. Mental Capability Requirements 

· Comprehension: Ability to understand opposing points of view on highly complex issues, negotiate, and integrate different viewpoints.

· Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on long-term basis.

· Reasoning & Decision Making: Ability to make decisions with significant impact on department’s credibility, operations, and services.

· Communication: Ability to formulate complex and comprehensive materials, such as legal documents, authoritative reports, official publications of major scope and impacts, and make formal presentations.

· Mathematics: Ability to compute, analyze, and interpret complex statistical data and develop forecasts and computer models.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.
