RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.


The primary objective of the EHS&S Specialist to provide direction and oversight of the day-to-day activities related to the environmental, health, safety, and security of RES employees.


  • Ensures compliance for all environmental health, safety & security program areas
  • Enforces company policies and procedures
  • Conducts site visits periodically and provides corrective actions and guidance, as necessary
  • Ensures employees always have appropriate PPE and dons as required by company policy
  • Creates, coordinates, and conducts training related to safety and security on a regular basis
  • Routinely conducts incident and accident investigations and maintains proper documentation
  • Periodically works to triage worker injuries and helps to facilitate workers comp case
  • Leads safety committee meetings regularly with various employee groups
  • Leads or attends safety meetings with clients and suppliers to support pre-bid, on-site or closeout activities as necessary
  • Assists with maintaining supplier databases such as Avetta, ISNetworld and others as needed
  • Works in conjunction with Fleet operations to ensure compliance of fleet is maintained



  • BS/BA
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations
  • Experience in construction related environment with knowledge of heavy equipment
  • 3 or more years experience within a Safety department preferred 


  • CSP, CHST, ASP or COSS certification is preferred with OSHA 30 for construction

Physical Demands:

  • Field based employee with some time in the office. This position will require 60% of the time driving to local project sites
  • Should be able to climb into large equipment to perform inspections
