We are currently seeking for a truck repair helper who's main responsibility will be working on box truck and trailer repair. We are looking for someone who will enjoy the ins and outs of daily assembly or disassembly of trucks, and ability to take instructions.
Refit new parts such as bumpers, fenders, grills, moldings, and other bolt-on items
Assist the Body Technician in checking all parts for accuracy before starting the repair and notify the parts coordinator of any incorrect parts or other discrepancies.
Assume responsibility for all parts assigned to your portion of each job.
Assist with replacing aluminum and fiberglass panels
Working with blind and solid rivets
Assist with replacing roof panels
Assist with structural repairs on box structure
Learning to replace parts like bumpers, mirrors, step rails, lights ect.
Ability to lift 40lbs+
Helping unload and sort freight for parts
Keeping the work area clean
Put forth every effort to meet and exceed the target delivery date assigned to a repair order.
Willingly learns from the assigned Body Technician
Significantly contributes to the completion of the tasks of the assigned Body Technician
Actively improves technical repair techniques
The ability to read and follow instructions precisely and to work independently as well as with others in an organized manner is essential.
Must be willing to work outside.
Mechanical skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues that arise
Knowledge of basic shop tools
Dependable and productive work record
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Possess basic hand tools.
Construction or mechanical experience is preferred.
Starting pay $12 based on experience. After successful completion of training, pay will increase to $14+.
