JOB TITLE: Helicopter (MH-60) Maintenance Subject Matter Expert — AD
STATUS OF POSITION: Part Time (variable, up to 100 hours/month)
SUMMARY: The H-60 AD rated Maintenance SME provides technical support and verifies accuracy of MH-60R/S subject matter incorporated into MH-60R/S Maintenance training materials. This technical support may include gathering and validation of technical data, providing mission insight, assisting with formulation of examination questions, and validation of the developed training materials. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and procedures associate with position and to be intimately aware of company policies, procedures and systems relative to the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as required.
Provide assistance to Instructional Designers and Graphic Artists relating to MH-60R/S system technical information and accuracy. This includes interpreting technical manual jargon and content; interfacing with the CNATT schoolhouse instructors to obtain missing, ambiguous, or complicated data;assisting in the acquisition of photos/videos/media; and conveying this information in a clear and concise manner to developers.
The SME will assist in the collection of current maintenance procedures and methodologies and provide the necessary expertise to verify maintenance procedures.
Review newly developed instructional materials and content (e.g., instructor guides, student guides, computer aided instruction, and interactive multimedia instruction) for accuracy.
Ability to travel to the CNATT schoolhouse location (TBD) or content developer’s location (Orlando) for transition/conversion training and/or to obtain technical content.
Prior instructor experience is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None at the current time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
At least 10 years experience and AD rating required.
Prefer E5 or above.
Desire previous SME support of USN Instructional Development effort.
