RES is the nation’s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. To date, we have restored over 328 stream miles, 58,024 wetland acres, and rehabilitated, preserved, and/or managed over 15,000 acres of special-status species habitats. RES operations include planting over 17,400,000 restorative trees and reducing over 267 tons of polluting nutrients. RES navigates and streamlines the environmental permitting process with solutions that balance economic development and ecological sustainability through the establishment of mitigation/conservation banks, permittee responsible turnkey mitigation, and corporate social responsibility projects.


We are looking to add to our growing team the EH&S Manager, responsible for providing oversight of safety by implementing and enforcing the RES Safety Program. Your focus will be to regularly interact with OSHA and other regulatory agencies to ensure the effective administration of the EHS policies.


The individual can sit in our Raleigh, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, or Mt Airy offices in North Carolina, or in Janesville or Madison, WI offices.


We are looking for an individual who is Highly organized and possesses great customer service skills, energetic, swift, and ready to grow with the company. The individual will be managing several EHS&S reps in remote offices; therefore, travel is required (up to 40% of the time).



  • Administers the EHS program and ensures compliance.
  • Leads OSHA training efforts companywide.
  • Administers the Workers Compensation process, files and tracks claims, works with 3rd parties to manage each file.
  • Investigates and manages injuries and incidents.
  • Responsible for managing and tracking all OSHA KPI’s including TRIR, recordable injuries, DART, LTIR.
  • Hires and trains personnel when necessary.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT and FMCSA.
  • Oversight and administration of Drug & Alcohol policy.
  • Management of OSHA 300 logs and submittals.


  • 5+ years working in a safety position with experience supervising others.
  • 5+ years experience managing a drug and alcohol program.
  • Strong understanding of workers compensation.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulation and letters of interpretation.
  • Experience working in construction or forestry related field.
  • Familiarity with DOT and FMCSA regulations.

Physical demands of the posituon:

  • Ability to climb into machines.
  • Regularly inspects equipment and vehicles in the field, outdoors in cold and warm weather.


  • CSP Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Environmental Safety or other related field.
