Perform all aspects of Government Sales for the Agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create and foster relationships with government customers
Create and foster relationships with NIB and other NPAs.
Obtain a vast knowledge of our products to be able to talk to customers
Coordinate and attend sales shows
Create and distribute marketing materials
Assist customers with creating POS material or end cap material
Follow up with customers on needs and email blasts
Create weekly, monthly, and annual reports
Work closely with customer service and purchasing for new product launches
Ensure product descriptions and marketing materials are accurate
Ensure work instructions for the position remain up to date
Job duties carried out on site at the NCSS facility and some travel for events
The ability to work in a state of alertness and safe manner
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by department manager/supervisor.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requires Security Clearance
Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Ability to keep accurate records
Able to work with little supervision
Able to efficiently and effectively perform detailed work
Able to actively participate and perform in a team-oriented environment
Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator helpful
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associate Degree in Sales and Marketing or related field
Minimum of two years experience in Sales and Marketing
Experience with Procurement (Preferred)
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats.
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Personal computer operation including basic knowledge of MS Office, utilizing word processing and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to actively participate and perform in a team-oriented environment.
Ability to sit, stand, and lift a minimum of 20 pounds occasionally. The minimum lifting requirement stated is determined according to the department/material.
