Job DescriptionThis is an exciting position within the Platform Delivery of MIS Tech. Reporting up to Moody's Technology Officer, the Infrastructure Tech organization leads all aspects of the company's global engineering of mis business system service delivery and solutions, end user application and deliver of hosted application, environment management and production support services. We are a growing organization of and perspectives.We support over 200 business critical custom-built applications operating from 5 key private cloud data centers along with public cloud facilities and offer Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service cloud-based architectures. The Platform Delivery Engineering team comprising of dedicated engineering and design professionals from diverse backgrounds, experiences are entrusted with creating high quality application serving platform adhering to the engineering standards and best practices for cloud, database, middleware and platform technologies. The team is responsible for creating standards and maintaining builds of each technology including technology (software) configuration, operational and disaster recovery design and implementation, troubleshooting, performance optimization, creation of SOPs in coordination with the operations teams, etc. The team also has the ongoing responsibility to guide the operations teams and to ensure that SOPs are followed, problems identified and resolved in a timely manner.Key Responsibilities:Accountable for establishing, executing and maintaining the APM vision and strategyAssisting application teams with deploying and configuring monitoring agentsResponsible for continually adjusting and evolving all APM processes, including identifying and recommending new solutionsResponsible for driving Infrastructure as a Service vision defining and documenting SLAs, KPIs, standards, etc.Responsible for providing critical technology leadership in the APM space, specifically to drive the adoption of APM as a ServiceResponsible for Lifecycle management of APM tools ensuring they are always compliant and fully supportedManage vendor and service provider relationshipsResponsible to ensure all critical and relevant services are monitored and alerted and to the extent possible configured for auto-remediation driven by Event Driven ActionsResponsible for capacity and performance management ensuring adequate capacity to support the infrastructure while maintaining high availabilityEnsure the timely delivery of APM services, based on agreed upon SLA/SLO timelinesEffective use of the Change Management processEffective use of communication and engagement to manage external vendors in the delivery of services.Quality and effectiveness of the delivery of projects through the use of key performance indicatorsProject/Task management using Jira#LI-RD1RequirementsIT Service Management Platforms Knowledge and experiencePrevious experience with various monitoring platforms - particularly AppDynamics (both SaaS and on-prem), Ignite and BMC HelixMonitoring Skills include the following;Manage the alerting systems and workflowsCreate relevant dashboards and reports for both operational teams and management.Manage all incident and request tickets related to APMPrevious experience developing, deploying, and refining Dashboards, Alerts & Reports Experience with AppD extensions and manual agent configurationsExperience in digesting the APM data and making recommendations or help troubleshoot issues during incidents or performance testsMentor and help to develop L2 resourcesExperience with both on-prem and SaaS based infrastructure and applications.Ability to lead and collaboratively work with various stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.Multi-Stakeholder ManagementStrong writing & documentation skills are requiredAbility to lead team sessions in scope, estimation, planning, scheduling, etc. lending deep knowledge to discussions because of past practical experienceAbility to communicate effectively with virtual teams.
