We are currently looking for a Contracts Analyst for our Houston, TX location.
The primary role of this position is to support Boardwalk's Legal Department, including providing preliminary document generation and review, and helping to foster quality legal service to internal clients. The position requires regular interaction across all departments and all levels of employees, from individual contributors to senior management, in order to facilitate effective communication and collaboration between internal clients and the Legal Department.
*Review, proofread, apply proposed edits and finalize various agreements, including engineering, construction, and operations service agreements (including associated scope of work agreements, rate sheets, etc.); purchase orders, consulting agreements, software licenses, confidentiality agreements, reimbursement agreements and land documents
*Manage and maintain information/documentation/forms on the Legal Department intranet page
*Serve as a liaison for the Legal Department at various internal meetings and provide updates to the Legal Department, as needed
*Draft amendments to existing agreements
*Draft notice letters to address outstanding issues with contractors/vendors
*Create and present legal presentations and training tailored to various internal groups
*Provide litigation support services, including working with inhouse counsel in managing document production, drafting litigation hold memos, maintaining active litigation spreadsheet and bankruptcy spreadsheet, communicating with outside counsel and inhouse counsel for updates, performing document review, preparing litigation binders, and preparing status update summary/presentations for senior management
*Perform due diligence for potential acquisitions, as requested
*Perform factual research and investigations, as needed
*Provide general support to the Legal Department’s attorneys, as requested
*Maintain positive relations for the Legal Department with clients and Boardwalk’s outside counsel
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Up to 5 years of contract administration/contracts analyst or paralegal experience with exposure to engineering/construction documents
*Strong analytical/organizational skills with attention to detail
*High degree of professionalism and understanding of confidentiality restrictions
*Proven ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary projects and work in a collaborative manner with other departments and within the Legal Department
*Superior written and verbal communication skills
*Proven time management and prioritization skills
*Intermediate to advanced level proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
*Outstanding work ethic and ability to work efficiently and productively in work-from-home environment
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Familiarity with and ability to navigate Word macros, Microsoft Teams, and Webex
