We are looking to add a Java Developer to our team providing support to DMDC (Defense Manpower Data Center). DMDC serves under the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OUSD) to collate personnel, manpower, training, financial, and other data for the Department of Defense (DoD). This data catalogs the history of personnel in the military and their family for purposes of healthcare, retirement funding, and other administrative needs. As a member of this team, you will support the development of applications and products for the Benefits Services program within DMDC.
On a day to day basis you will:
Design, develop, enhance, debug and implement software. Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications
Research, test, build and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
Address problems of systems integration, compatibility and multiple platforms.
Consult with Benefits Services project teams and end-users to identify application requirements
Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management
Participates in the development of software user manuals
Required Qualifications and Experience:
HS Diploma and 7 years relevant experience; or Associates Degree + 5 years experience; or Bachelor's Degree + 4 years experience.
Strong Java/J2EE development experience
Experience working on an Angular framework
Current Public Trust
CompTIA Security+ CE
