Construction Heavy Equipment Operator/Drill Operator

CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT OPERATOR 

MBI (Marine Bulkheading, Inc.) is one of the Northeast's foremost Piling Installation Contractors located in Seaford, New York. We are a family owned business, specializing in Helical, Driven and Drilled Pile Foundations, Excavation Support and Marine Construction.

Position Summary:

The equipment operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and effective manner. Equipment under this job description may include: excavators, dozers, cranes and tractors. Pile driving and drilling experience preferred.

Requirements:

• • Minimum 3 years of operator experience in the construction field

• • OSHA 30 + SST

• • Valid, Clean drivers license

Start date: ASAP, Full Time

Salary: Based on experience

Responsibilities:

• • Understand and comply with all company safety policies and procedures at all times

• • Wear all company required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

• • Must possess knowledge of equipment and workplace safety

• • Work in all the 5 boroughs and well as Long Island. Must be able to travel from job to job

• • Cleaning the machines regularly. This includes sweeping the cabs and removing trash daily, cleaning the interior weekly, and lubricating doors and windows bi-weekly

• • Complete equipment condition reports, as well as a daily checklist of work to be done on your equipment and provide to the Project Superintendent daily

• • Make a note on your equipment report and let your Superintendent know if you need any supplies, i.e.: oil, grease, cleaning supplies etc.

• • Operate small power tools

• • Perform related duties and other responsibilities associated with this position as required by Supervisor

• • Ensure equipment is properly cleaned, shut down, and stored at the end of the shift
