Job Description
Summary
Comtech EF Data is looking for a Material Handler. You will pick up manufacturing work order kits consisting of various types of inventory including electronic components, PCB’s, hardware, fabricated materials, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stock incoming PO receipts, cycle counting, replacement part picking, inventory transactions in ERP system and transport of materials.
- Detail orientated, attention and adherence to stocking and kitting procedures and departmental policies.
- Meet customer and manufacturing schedules
- Effectively operate / use pallet jacks, ladders, carts and standard material handling equipment including transport carts.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or (GED)
- Excellent counting skills and basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to work under time constraints.
- Ability to complete assignments verbal or written in a timely manner with a high level of accuracy.
- Must be flexible to work overtime to meet customer and manufacturing schedules including weekends and or holidays as needed.
- Working knowledge of RoHS (restriction of hazardous substances) and ESD (electro-static discharge) requirements desired.
- Experience with computers, Inventory MRP systems and working knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Word, etc).
- Experience with documenting and providing solutions for process related discrepancies and improvements.
Physical Demands
Dead lift 35 lbs or maneuver up to 50 lbs and manipulate items in excess of this using appropriate material handling equipment and or teamwork.
Work Environment
Casual, walking, standing in place for short periods, exposure to elements while transporting materials on occasion.
