JOB SUMMARYThe purpose of this position is to provide program management and oversight of the CBRE FM and Technical Workforce Development initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and implementation of the facility management and technical training content evaluation, design, development, and live and remote instruction. Additional job duties include supporting the CBRE People and Recruiting teams to manage the internal and external technical talent pipeline, with an emphasis on Diversity and Inclusion as well as developing the CBRE Apprenticeship program. This will include developing and maintaining positive relationships with account leaders, technicians, trade and vocational schools and Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs). The candidate must possess expert-level hard services technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing in commercial real estate maintenance and operations, preferably in a diverse portfolio. Employees in this position may be required to travel with minimal advance notice.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESUtilize facility management and technical expertise to design training curriculum, learning objectives and develop training content in Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic learning styles. Strong computer skills with a focus on identifying training development software, software utilization and delivering engaging FM and technical training content. This software will include computer-graphics type software with 3D animation output. May be required to present live, remote and recorded training sessions.Utilize CBRE's Talent Coach learning management system to load content, test material and supporting documentation.Work with third party content providers to support CBRE contract relationships. Utilize highly developed creative attributes in the design and execution of learning deliverables. Provide leadership with respect to supporting recruiting campaigns focused on improving diversity amongst CBRE technician workforce, to include recruiting and retention.Accountable to coordinate with global leadership with respect to workforce development, which may include "Train the Trainer" sessions. Develop and maintain a strategic plan for technician succession with an expectation to promote from within between accounts and backfill openings with interns and/or apprentices. Actively participates in technical employee recruiting and interviewing efforts.Coordinates, collaborates, and directly engages with division and account employees to ensure successful implementation of CBRE career development initiatives.Responsible for business unit financial performance.Provides recommendations for tactical and strategic planning.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIESMay be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. May approve subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Expert-level experience with building systems to include HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, building automation, carpentry and all systems related to commercial building operation, from a diverse property type portfolio. Computer software experience, particularly in the area of 3D graphics and animation creation. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE A minimum of 15 years' technical experience that spans many types of commercial real estate, such as: office, healthcare, pharma, tech, retail, warehouse, data center, etc.Previous supervisory experience preferred.Previous experience managing training programs and developing instructional content preferred.Previous experience as an instructor in formal learning environment a plus. Demonstrated organizational skills, project planning and management, team building, and experience with quality management and measurement processes and tools. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Must have appropriate license or certification where required by law.Trade specific designations, accreditations and/or certificates preferred. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Generates and reviews complex financial/business analysis and reports. Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions. May develop and implement financial policies and procedures. May approve and oversee department budget.REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIESAbility to work well under pressure with a proactive approach to unusual occurrences. Requires good organizational skills, attention to detail and an openness to new ideas and procedures. Physical requirements include: Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces and lift heavy objects weighting up to 50 lbs.Intermediate to high skills with various computer software programs. Working knowledge and understanding of architectural, electrical and mechanical systems. Understanding of leases, contracts and related documents preferred.SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITYDecisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve complex results.
