The applicant will join the Securities Division Quantitative Strategies Model Development Quant Team in the area of Core library development. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated leadership and organizational skills, and a strong focus on programming and library development. The selected candidate will:
Focus on areas that improve the quality of our C++ libraries in areas such as speed and memory optimizations, memory management, design decisions, interaction with external systems, including API design and maintenance.
Improve and maintain our unit and regression testing frameworks.
Work strategically on specific performance improvements on key models as driven by business needs.
Guide Line of Business quants in making full use of our standard software development tools (compilers, source/version control, Issue/development tracking via agile development)
Collaborate with and support Business and Technology Partners, as well as Model Validation and Governance

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
7+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both
8+ years of quantitative development experience
5+ years of derivatives experience
Master s degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business, social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
8+ years of C++ experience
Strong analytical and quantitative skills
Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge of financial mathematics, such as stochastic calculus
Knowledge of capital market and derivatives products
