The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking highly motivated and talented Junior Engineering Technician to support the Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation.

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Technician.

A typical day as a Junior Technician may include:

  • Provide support to the NAVAIR, Electronic Combat Stimulation Branch in the research, preparation, production, validation and execution of electronic stimulation testing for multiple activities and programs.
  • Interested in a career in the operations and maintenance of Electronic Warfare and Electronic Combat simulation and stimulation equipment, systems, and sensors.
  • The individual will have exposure to Radar (threat and friendly) waveform generation, antennas, RF cables, and RF measurement equipment.
  • Will have the ability and expected to learn electrical systems and/or develop software.

Must-haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Up to 3 years’ of relevant work experience
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to stand and walk throughout his/her workday, often bending over and picking up items less than 50 lbs. and/or operating machinery to assist in the movement of heavy objects such as fork lifts and dollies. 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
