Job Description

The Schedule Manager is responsible for project and program – level schedule management, control, and reporting in support of the timely delivery of capital construction and infrastructure projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of the schedule control system;
  • Development of the program summary schedule;
  • Prepares EPS and WBS; 
  • Assists with the development, implementation, and maintenance of schedule procedures and reference materials including, but not limited to: system user manuals, procedures, schedule tools, templates, and layouts;
  • Participates in and provides on-going scheduling training for Project Managers and other staff;
  • Works with Project Managers and other staff on the development, review, and analyses of project level schedules in accordance with the project requirements and commitments; 
  • Works with Project Managers to ensure project milestones and deliverables are incorporated into the project level schedules;
  • Supports the Project Managers in analyses of schedules provided by contractors, consultants, and vendors, including but not limited to: baseline schedules, schedule updates, and recovery schedules; 
  • Provides Change Order and Claim analysis and recommendations; 
  • Monitors and reports schedule variances and trends; assists in the development of proposed resolutions; 
  • Develops a record of historical schedule information for reference and analysis;Prepares program and project schedule related analysis and reporting;Researches best practices and makes recommendations on proposed improvements; 
  • Other duties as required

Educational and experience requirements include a relevant degree plus five or more years similar engineering and construction scheduling experience, equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience will be considered

Professional working experience with computer scheduling programs is required (i.e. P6, Microsoft Project.)

Excellent organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills are required. Experience with budgeting/accounting processes and procedures, project management systems, contract management, scheduling, planning, and project management are preferred. Excellent skills in Office Suite (MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel) and other commonly used databases required.
