About the RoleSales Engineering is rapidly expanding our Developer Advocacy + Data Architecture (DA2) practice due to strong demands from clients to help drive forward their Digital Transformation initiatives. We are seeking an experienced, dynamic DA2 leader who is capable of defining a roadmap for FactSet's DA2 capabilities for the global buy-side and sell-side client base. Primary responsibilities will be to rapidly mature FactSet's DA2 practice including client engagement models & SOPs, establish internal & external trainings/webinars/Hackathon programs, and build a pipeline of talent to build out the team's capabilities.Our ideal candidate will have previous experience leading a Developer Advocacy / Technology Evangelism team at an established technology firm, or many years as a Lead/Senior Developer Advocate. Our ideal candidate can balance management responsibilities, team development, client engagements while also working with Sales, Professional Services, Implementation and Support to cultivate and drive specific sales opportunities. We are looking for a candidate who is entrepreneurial, who is process driven, who can build relationships with business & technology buyers, and who can talk about "enterprise" without losing focus on a client's immediate needs. ResponsibilitiesBuild out Factset's DA2 team (as described above) with a focus on four major functional areas:Develop our client-facing program / practiceDevelop our program around internal & external trainings/webinars/HackathonsScope, hire and develop an appropriately-sized team of Developer Advocates + Data Architects to solution FactSet's increasingly digital sales pipelineProvide support to FactSet's Recipes and Solutions Blueprints initiatives in partnership with other leaders within Sales Engineering, Product Strategy and other teamsPartner with Strategic Sales Engineers as well as FactSet's team of 1,500 Global Sales and Client Service professionals to build & execute on a pipeline of large revenue, high-impact enterprise deals, with a particular focus on opportunities requiring expertise in application development and complex data architecturesPresent at client & industry events to position FactSet as a thought & technology leader in our field, representing FactSet at the C-Suite and Director level with our clientsBuild individual relationships with regional sales managers and individual salespeople to help drive FactSet's sales pipelineBe the domain expert for data architecture / platform integration / orchestration with key cloud partners such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, GCP to deliver turn-key designs, patterns and blueprints for the financial industry Requirements8+ years of industry experience as a Developer Advocate / Sales Engineer / Technology Evangelist (or similar) at an established technology firm2+ years leading an established Developer Advocacy / Sales Engineering / Technology Evangelism (or similar) teamBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems (or similar), or extensive hands-on experience as a developer/technologistExperience establishing the foundational elements within a Sales organization to make the mission of Developer Advocacy a successExperience developing training programs (internal / external)Experience hiring, cultivating talent and developing a high performing teamExperience with at least one major programming language (C++, C#, Java, Python, Ruby, Go, etc.) and a strong preference towards familiarity with HTML5/JavaScript and modern web technologies & frameworksFamiliarity with modern application development paradigms and technologies including agile, CI/CD, serverless, cloud-first as well as traditional monolithic developmentExperience working closely with business and technology stakeholders, both internally and externallyMust be a self-starter with an ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and embody an entrepreneurial spiritDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities and skills.Thirst for continued learning - about technology, our industry, our solutions, etc.Ability to travel as required Highly DesiredPrevious experience in financial services industryAWS Certified Solutions ArchitectM.B.A. or Master's Degree in Finance / Economics or CFA / CIPM / FRM / CAIAFactSet is an Equal Opportunity Employer - M/F/Veteran/Disability/Sexual Orientation/Gender IdentityVEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran & Disabled Referrals for all of our locations within the stateThe EEO is the Law poster is available here.FactSet Research Systems Inc. endeavors to make our website accessible to any and all users.
