TRISTAR is seeking a Logistician III (EO) - Part-Time for our government customer located in Crane, IN

 

Position Description:

  • Provide management and acquisition support services to include pre-award and post-award support
  • Provide DRAFT acquisition documents for major systems, subsystems, equipment or components as well as track execution and turnaround times for JXQL contractual actions
  • Prepare and develop acquisition program reports; briefings, briefing materials, and presentation packages
  • Work 20-30 hours per week

 

Position Responsibilities:

Logistics Support

Provide support in all areas of Integrated Logistics Support, which includes the following Logistics tasks:

  • Development or updates to Maintenance Plans.
  • Monitor/Manage/Execute Support Equipment Logistics and Rework Programs.
  • Develop provisioning packages.
  • Develop and review technical manuals and operations and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement manpower requirements
  • Review and analyze packaging, handling, storage, and transportation requirements.
  • Provide asset tracking, asset management, and related support functions including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) tracking.
  • Develop and review Depot plans and related documentation
  • Generate, implement and review Integrated Logistics Support Plans
  • Develop and implement Technical Directives.
  • Develop and implement Engineering Change Proposals.
  • Provide Logistics related support.
  • Fleet Responsibility/Capability (FRA)
  • Maintenance Planning/Supportability Analysis (MPA)
  • Technical Data (TCD)
  • Product Improvement Activity (PIA)
  • Program Management (PGM)
  • Provide documentation and support of depot activation process 

 

Creation/Update of Programmatic Documentation

  • Assist with the development of technical data packages, review such packages (furnished as GFI) for accuracy, prepare subsequent changes for inclusion to the data package, make recommendations for changes with supporting rationale, and upon approval by the Government, incorporate those changes in to the technical data package 

 

Configuration Management 

  • All detailed requirements and configuration management tasks shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of NAVSEAINST 4130.12A, IEEE Standard 828-2012 for Configuration Management in Systems and Software Engineering, SAE EIA-649-1 Configuration Management Requirement for Defense Contracts, and SAE EIA-649-B Standard for Configuration Management and MIL-HDBK-61
  • Analyze and evaluate the impact of engineering change proposals on materials, cost, schedule, logistics infrastructure and technical documentation
  • Incorporate configuration changes in accordance with the configuration management plan for the system, subsystem, or component
  • Use the Ship Configuration and Logistics Support Information System (SCLSIS) to maintain configuration management information
  • Provide CM support functions on the assigned systems
  • Maintain the CM database by updating the established configuration baseline based on periodic reporting provided by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), ECP process and material transfers
  • Provide configuration assistance in the definition of CM products, review of CM deliverables, and review of proposed configuration baseline changes
  • CM administrative support may also be provided during configuration audits or in the development of ECPs

 

Position Requirement: 

  • Must have experience in Logistics, Acquisition, Supply Support, Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) for Electro optics products
  • Electro-Optic (EO), Infrared (IR), and Laser Technology experience is preferred.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • An active Secret Clearance or investigation in process is required

 

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or 9- 12 years of experience performing acquisition logistics for the DoD
