Test Engineer-Manufacturing Engineering


Our Client, a major electronics company is seeking their Test Engineer for their Manufacturing Engineering Department located at their main office in Gays Mills, WI.  Our client is a premier manufacturer for HVAC/R, specializing in sensors for temperature, humidity, pressure, wireless and air quality monitoring. We are locally owned, with employees located throughout the continental US, Canada, the UK, and Germany and we serve customers around the globe in over 40 countries.

Position Summary: The Test Engineer for Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for testing products currently on the production floor and maintaining test fixtures to assure accuracy and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop procedures, methods, and tools for test, verification and certification of company products.
  • Design and maintain test fixtures used in Production
  • Automate data gathering for Quality Assurance
  • Maintain master calibration database of equipment
  • Develop, Assist and perform tests during product development for the Design Engineers
  • Verify and validate new product hardware
  • Create accurate Test Plans and Reports on the final design
  • Write complete test procedures, train, monitor, and revise test procedures as needed
  • Prepare reports on test results, constraints, problems based upon data analysis

Job Requirements


  • Associates required, Bachelors preferred in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology
  • Very Proficient with LabView required
  • Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, function generators, and programmable power supplies required
  • Demonstrated ability to read detailed schematics required
  • Working Knowledge of analog, digital, and power circuitry required
  • Experience designing and developing test programs and equipment preferred
  • Proficient level of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access) required
  • Demonstrated experience in the mechanical design of functional test equipment
  • Technical Writing experience preferred
  • Exposure to HVAC/R training preferred
  • Programming knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and cool in a fast-paced, high pressure work environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, with demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and pleasant manner
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn on the job and problem solve
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, focus, organization and a willingness to work toward defined goals
  • Must be very flexible and supportive of changing requirements
