JOB SUMMARYThis position offers the candidate the opportunity to work on the top team at CBRE. This team was ranked in the top 2% within CBRE for '09-'20. A majority of the production over the past five years consisted of arranging debt for multifamily properties through a variety of lenders. In 2019, the team closed over $3.3 billion in multifamily financing. CBRE has the top multifamily loan origination platform along with being the number one agency loan originator for the past 5+ years. RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for analyzing moderate to complex information to prepare various reports and loan submission packages. Knows and uses fundamental concepts, practices and procedures associated with commercial real estate finance, including commercial appraising, market analysis, and investment analysis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the preliminary underwriting process, evaluating a deal's strengths and weaknesses, while offering direction on credit compliance and pricing strategyManage to customer satisfaction and internal timelines for transaction funding; regularly communicate loan status updates to underwriting team, originators, and clients as appropriate.Build relationships with CBRE's Fannie Mae team, present to committee, and negotiate with credit to maintain and exceed terms from applicationPerform financial analysis and achieve optimal loan proceeding by including collections trend, NOI and DSC calculations, while understanding all Agency underwriting constraintsManage the due diligence process, and mitigate any lender concerns relating to market conditions, operations, property condition, valuation, and sponsorAnalyze and evaluate complex ownership borrower structures relative to legal and financial responsibilities and obligationsComplete loan narrative incorporating strengths, weaknesses and mitigants of the overall transaction, and ensure accuracy and aggressive terms in the final commitment letterAssists producer(s) in day-to-day responsibilities which include packaging, lender due diligence, negotiation process, commitment process and closing process. Gathers moderate to complex data on local, regional, and national commercial real estate markets by researching a variety of sources including, but not limited to industry, regulatory and economic information, financial periodicals and newspapers, mortgage and lease documents, demographic date, property information and company records. Organizes, evaluates, interprets and summarizes moderate to complex data. Prepares a variety of analyses, statements and reports for management review; arranges for preparation of graphics or illustrations to include with research findings. Prepares moderate to complex forecasts and analyzes trends in commercial mortgage finance, general business and industry conditions. Conducts ad hoc studies for management upon request. Prepares loan submission reports for review by loan producers. Interfaces with clients, lenders, government agencies, etc., to complete tasks. May interface with clients, lenders, government agencies, etc. to complete tasks. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university; minimum three years mortgage banking experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Course work or commensurate experience with fundamentals of real estate finance, basic appraisal principals, market analysis and accounting. Demonstrated track record of processing and closing Agency multifamily loan transactions, with an emphasis on Fannie MaeKnowledge and ability to write loan narratives, complete accurate financial analysis, identify strengths and weaknesses of a given deal, and present deals to loan committee for approvalCERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Salesperson or real estate brokers license preferred but not required. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information. FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis. REASONING ABILITY Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Knowledge of ARGUS preferred.
