We are an ISO 9001-2015 registered manufacturer of precision machined die cast components and assemblies, serving customers throughout California, the US and world-wide. Established in 1946, we provide contract-manufacturing services to over 200 customers, including all part finishing, CNC machining, plating, painting and assembly. We are looking for the right person with a proven track record who is a team player and a problem solver for this hands-on position.
Program and operate CMM for purposes of performing first article and in-process inspections.
Perform first article inspections as well as in-process inspections.
Monitor finishing and machining operations to ensure in-process inspections are performed effectively.
Work with all departments to optimize QC/QA methods.
Minimum of 5 years experience related to the manufacture and quality control of machined parts.
Experience programming in PC-DMIS and operating automatic CMMs.
Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, with a good working knowledge of GD&T.
Proficient in all mechanical inspection tools (calipers, height gage, surface finish gage, thread gages, pin gages, etc.).
Well-organized and possessing excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), including proficiency in Word and Excel.
Associate Degree in a Quality or Engineering related field a plus
ASQ certification a plus.
Experience with castings a plus.
Experience programming in PolyWorks and operating a 3D Laser Scanner is a plus.
All candidates must be available to work 1st shift (5am – 3:30pm) and a split shift (10am – 8:30pm)
