Position Summary:

A Senior Systems Analyst will design, analyze, implement and support computer systems and solutions based on the business requirements defined within our organization. Develops and maintains essential procedures and processes for supporting systems of medium to high complexity.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Performs system analysis which includes completing requirement definitions, interfacing with business groups and providing cost and benefit analysis.
  • Reviews, plans, and implements computer systems. Troubleshoots systems and recommend improvements to the computing environment.
  • Provides documentation and project tracking. Serves as a project leader on assigned projects.
  • Participates in new technology evaluations related to information. Identify alternative or new technologies and assist in defining new global and regional IT standards.
  • Assists Systems Analysts, Network Administrators and the helpdesk, desk-side support group with technical support issues.
  • Coordinates and participates in regional and global project and operational efforts.
  • Defines and revises SOPs and system validation plans as required to meet corporate business needs and support the company's validation requirements.
  • Prepares project status reports to inform management to project progression. Identify any issues, which need to be escalated for resolution or assistance.
  • Provides escalated user support.
  • Monitors system alerts and alarms generated from operational monitoring systems.
  • Monitors activities of and coordinates activities with service providers, partners and vendors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Work under minimal supervision. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish assigned goals. May periodically assist in orienting, training, and/or reviewing the work of peers.
  • Judgement is required in resolving complex problems based on experience.
  • Contacts are primarily with department supervisors, leads, subordinates, and peers. Occasional contact with external contractors/vendors.

Preferred Technical Skills/Expertise:

  • Strong Experience in design and deployment of Azure Cloud PAAS and IAAS solutions with high availability and data redundancy.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD for Infrastructure as a Code with Azure is a plus
  • Strong experience supporting on-prem IT infrastructure such as Vmware Virtualization, Windows Servers and Microsoft IIS, Citrix and SQL Database systems in an Enterprise Environment.
  • Strong experience with PowerShell and additional scripting languages for automation and ARM Templates orchestration for Azure.
  • Strong Experience working with Intel based rack and blade server hardware, Microsoft Windows based Operating Systems (Servers & Clients) and TCP/IP Services is required.
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, Power point and Project.
  • Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Cloud certifications a plus.
  • Experience with Docker, Containers solutions is a plus
  • Extensive experience in evaluating and implementing computer systems.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure for manufacturing systems such as SCADA and MES application is a plus
  • Possess good knowledge on GMP procedures related to IT systems and experience working in a FDA regulated environment.
  • Project leadership and systems analysis, including cost and benefit analysis.


Expertise: Qualifications - Experience/Training/Education/Etc


  • 4 year Bachelor Degree in Information Systems or related field.
  • 7 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong experience supporting Microsoft SQL and or Oracle Databases in an Enterprise Environment.
  • Strong Experience working with Intel based server hardware, Microsoft Windows based Operating Systems (Servers & Clients) and IP Services is required.
  • Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically Word, Excel, Power point and Project.
  • Microsoft, VMWare , Citrix, Symantec, EMC and PMP /ITIL certifications a plus.
  • Must have excellent organizational, time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to define and explain work methods.
  • Must maintain confidentiality of proprietary, financial and personal data.
  • Must be willing to travel for business and work overtime when necessary.
  • Must be willing to carry a cell phone/smart phone and provide after hour support as needed


  • Extensive experience in evaluating and implementing computer systems.
  • Project leadership and systems analysis, including cost and benefit analysis.
  • Microsoft certifications a plus.
