Provides skilled craftsmanship for maintenance and installation of electrical systems.
Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power toolsConnect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other componentsTest electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of systemInstalls, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulationsStudies plans, drawings, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirement and sequence of repairs and/or installationsRepairs and maintains high voltage systemsOrganizes work by receiving and studying work orders; gathering tools and suppliesReading prints, layout work and installing new serviceRepairs electrical problems by replacing faulty parts and componentsMaintains electrical systems by conducting system tests; completing preventive maintenance requirementsKeeps supplies ready by placing ordersMaintains safe work environment by following standards and procedures; complying with codesUpdates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publicationsAccomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as neededContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededAll other duties as assigned

Preferred Journeyman Electrician License in one of the following states:
Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Florda.
