The Big Picture:
M. A. Mortenson Company is seeking a full-time Project Manager at our offices in Eagle Mountain, UT.
What will you be doing?
The Project Manager provides overall leadership direction to large complex construction projects, including the management of project quality, timeliness, and safety, as well as mentoring the project team.
How will you succeed?
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the commercial construction industry.
Must also have 12 months of experience (which may have been gained concurrently) with each of the following:
Performing detailed review of electrical design packages from the engineer of record to validate any construction or design issues or potential improvements throughout the duration of the project
Managing the electrical installation contractor in execution of contract in excess of $100 million through the underground rough-in, pulling and termination, and equipment installation and verification portions of the project
Purchasing and managing all electrical material (excluding consumables) for the project, including low voltage cabling, high voltage connectors, high voltage cabling, PVC conduit and connectors, and grounding conductors and accessories
Applying electrical knowledge for interactions between electrical and non-electrical scopes of work, such as foundations, steel, and building mechanical/HVAC system, for the project; and
Working with the BIM 360 platform.
Must have worked on at least one construction project valued at more than $500 million, with responsibility for providing overall leadership direction to the electrical scope of work and supervising subordinates.
