Summary:

The Human Resource Manager works with local Management to plan, implement, and provide guidance for HR programs in the field, including employment, employee relations, recruiting & retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance with applicable HR Federal, State & local laws. Functions as a liaison between field supervision and employees when problems are not resolved quickly. Provides leadership and consulting support to local management on talent acquisition & development, employee relations, compliance, and total rewards. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates alignment of business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.

  • Consults with management on human resource-related issues, suggests new HR strategies, and provides HR guidance when appropriate.

  • Evaluates and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates needs with the HR Department and business management.

  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.

  • Develops partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.

  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, addresses grievances, and conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.

  • Maintains comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees in order to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance; partners with the Legal Department when necessary.

  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources and/or experience in related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources generalist role
  • PHR certification preferred
  • Experience with an HRIS and ATS
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and diplomacy skills with all levels of employees
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Work effectively in a team environment with all levels of the organization
  • Able and willing to travel to other business unit locations
