Consultant, Plumbing Engineer - Dallas, TX
WSP, an award‑winning and innovative multi‑disciplinary engineering firm, has an opening for a Plumbing Engineer for our Dallas, TX office. WSP works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.
About the Job
Our Engineers work on high quality, high-profile, national and international projects. You will actively participate in the full project cycle, from the design phase through the final construction close-out.
Work within multi-discipline project teams to develop drawing and specification documents for issuance to architects, contractors and building owners.
Development of plumbing system concepts
Design of plumbing systems
Calculation of preliminary water, gas, sanitary/sewer and storm loads for utility coordination
Develop project specifications
Survey and evaluation of existing conditions
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years’ experience designing plumbing systems.
Strong working knowledge of building, plumbing codes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Revit experience is a must
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
LEED AP is preferred
P.E./EIT License is a plus
