Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP is currently initiating a search for a CADD Specialist for our Ft. Meade/Washington DC office.   Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain existing CADD files for As-built Record Files. 
  • Work with engineers and interior designers to develop CADD files for building renovations and updates. 
  • Assist with the organization, development, and maintenance of CADD standards for the organization.
  • Become integral member of client project management and space management team.
  • Work with CAFM/IWMS implementation team to ensure their facility drawings are up to date and formatted for the system.

  • 3+ years experience producing computer drafted construction documents supporting Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical design efforts
  • Associate degree in Drafting, Design, Architecture, Engineering, or Technology from an accredited college or technical school or equivalent experience or accreditation.
  • Due to client requirements, an active Secret Government Clearance is required
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and skills required includes codes and design requirements specific to local geographic market
  • Knowledge of AIA CADD Standards and National CADD Standards
  • Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a flexible approach to work assignments
  • Willingness to perform field work as necessary; visit job sites to assist in building, furniture, or system surveys
