GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Develop, define, document, analyze, perform, and hardware and software for products, systems, components, or modifications.

DUTIES

  • Create, update, maintain, and execute test procedures
  • Work closely with hardware and test software
  • Problem Solve/Debug/Troubleshoot
  • Maintain all records, and documentation related to Production workflow
  • Repair test equipment and troubleshoot if necessary
  • Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions.
  • Assists in the definition of internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
  • Analyzes test cases and provides regular progress reports.
  • Develops systems and computer programs for digital data acquisition to be used in testing new products and as part of the quality control system within the manufacturing process.
  • Reviews customer requirements and specifications to ensure that tests will confirm that these are satisfied.
  • Prepares proposals for testing programs, outlines specific testing conditions, and develops operating procedures.
  • Establishes procedures for ongoing quality control testing as part of the regular production process.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
  • Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or Physics
  • 4-6 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • VHDL and/or Verilog with demonstrated experience in designing and developing digital signal processing algorithms on FPGAs
  • Xilinx FPGA tools experience
  • Programming in C; C++ and Java a plus
  • Programming FPGA Test Loads (Xilinx, Microsemi)
  • Scripting Languages
  • Experience with Testing PCB and Electronic Systems
  • Experience with Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Multi-meters
  • Create and Setup the Testing Processes and Procedures
  • Document Process and all Testing Data
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office software.
  • Creative mind to troubleshoot, find and resolve problems.

  • Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day

  • Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders.
  • May be required to lift up to 25 pounds and carry for short distances.
  • Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.
  • Normally works in an office setting with controlled temperature.
