Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Northern New England Transporation Engineering Team to work on exciting and complicated projects. Position will be based out of our Boston or Needham, Massachusetts office.   Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsibilities include a variety of planning, design and construction tasks in support of the Transporation Engineering Team. 
  • Successful candidate will participate in project and Client meetings dealing directly with multi-discipline coordination.
  • Participate in a variety of design and construction engineering tasks in support of design and construction projects included under the region.
  • Prepare design plans, specifications and calculations.
  • Participant is expected to be proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D, Bluebeam, ArcGIS and Microsoft Office.  Other modeling software experience a plus.

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • 5+ years’ of minimum experience in an engineering with a focus on the transportation projects for State or Local agencies.
  • Engineer-in-Training Certification with the ability to obtain a PE within 2 years.
  • Successful candidates must have the ability to work both independently and within a team environment with the capability to delegate and supervise tasks to support staff.
  • Strong writing skills to support technical reporting as well as strong oral communication skills are required.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
