Job Description

ERPi is currently seeking a fulltime Cybersecurity/Information Assurance Engineer to provide support at our Washington, DC site.


This requirement for a Cyber Security/Information Assurance Engineer will support the OBT in developing the guidelines for and implementing the process for security of our clients’ data. The ideal candidate will have experience in the creation of data processes that create and maintain information security, develop/implement best practices that ensure that data stored by our client is secure.  The ideal candidate will be able to work with client representatives and other contractors to determine software limitations, gaps and risks and clearly communicate the same to the remainder of the team. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively with the technology team to develop software practices and touchpoints used to ensure safety of client data and communicate these to the client and client workforce.

Responsibilities


Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of related experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline
  • Masters (preferred but education can be waived given appropriate experience)
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, learning quickly about security capabilities of software and hardware systems and be able to communicate same
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity and information assurance
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, result-driven environment
  • Ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels within an organization while possessing diplomacy and cooperative style necessary to work effectively with diverse individuals across functional disciplines
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble service solutions to meet clients’ needs
  • Knowledge of Army staff offices, including mission, requirements and ability to quickly respond to high visibility requests
  • Experience working withRisk Management Framework (RMF) assessments and NIST Special Publications (800-37, 800-53 and others)

Desired Skills and Experience: 

  • Experience working with Cerner/MHS Genesis
  • Understanding of fundamental cloud computing concepts
  • Experience implementing program processes via SOPs and POA&M in support of program achievement of Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Experience evaluating program security protocols to assess alignment with Risk Management Framework (RMF) policies and procedures
  • Experience with Information Assurance concepts and processes within the Federal government
  • Knowledge of and experience with Federal security regulations, standards, and processes including FISMA, FIPS, NIST, and FedRAMP
  • Certifications in at least one of the following such as SCP, Certified Authorization Professional (CAP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)-Security, GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), CISSP, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) or comparable
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Mathematics, or Engineering is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to think strategically to effectively assess clients’ situation and assemble service solutions to meet clients’ needs
