Job Description

The Vehicle Logistics Coordinator is responsible for initiating innovative process improvement, assisting management with the presentation of written proposals for the acquisition of cost-effective business materials and/or processes, and ensuring efficient distribution, justification, inventory, maintenance, repair, and replacement of all vehicles/equipment issued to the SIS security personnel. Finally, the Logistics Specialist will work closely with internal and external vendors and on-site Client personnel and SIS corporate management to fulfill necessary tasks. The Vehicle Logistics Coordinator reports directly to the Watch Commander.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, including but not limited to the clients' employees, dealer associates, OEM partners and their associates, and facilities personnel.
  • Promptly respond to all requests for assistance relayed by Supervisor or client; complete all company or client assignments as required.
  • Follow relevant safety guidelines and regulations, regulatory agencies, and traffic laws.
  • Practice safe driving, be aware of road conditions in the area and utilize the best routes to get from point A to point B.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the company vehicle at all times.
  • Provide effective communication to Fleet Program Manager and/or vehicle’s appropriate coordinator, regarding vehicle issues or maintenance.
  • Handle multiple tasks at once without compromising the quality of work.
  • Take feedback from the management team and drive actions to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate a great attitude and reflect SIS company principles and values to everyone.
  • Uniform attire and grooming standards must be maintained at all times while in uniform.

Tasks will include:

  • Coordinate, schedule, maintain, and transport vehicles as needed.
  • Make adjustments to vehicle schedules based on ad-hoc requests.
  • Provide administrative and resource support for QA/ENG team’s vehicle testing.
  • Perform monthly vehicle audit
  • Track accident claims for vehicle damages and repairs.
  • Provide occasional transportation for engineers.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be at least 25 years of age
  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree preferred
  • Must have a minimum of one year experience in a logistics role
  • Must have extensive knowledge and proficiency with use of Mac computers and in software programs such as Excel, Word, Google Docs, Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and other software applications
  • Experience with integration of automated inventory systems such as Inventory Return Merchandise Authorization (IRMA) and Asset Management software
  • Must have the ability to analyze presented information and situations and reliably respond with sound decision-making to adopt an effective course of action\
  • Experience working with outside vendors for the acquisition of resources and materials
  • Experience with integration of automated inventory systems such as Inventory Return Merchandise Authorization (IRMA) and Asset Management software
  • Must be able to initiate and promote work environments to function at higher efficiency levels
  • Must have experience working in a dynamic, stressful, fast-paced professional environment while keeping a positive, can-do attitude
  • Must Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with attention to detail and poise in conveying and exchanging information to various audiences
  • Competency in reading, writing, and evaluating reports
  • Aptitude in verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning
  • Knowledge of safe automobile operations including vehicle code violations
  • Experienced in Principles of First Aid/CPR/AED preferred
  • Previous managerial and customer service background preferred
