As a Software Engineer you will be performing full-cycle software development work as a member of a team on various projects. The work focuses on developing and supporting a Satellite ground station monitoring and control system. Looking for a capable self-starter, self-motivated software engineering, disciplined in software development methods including Agile/Scrum. We build complete antenna systems "from RF to bits"Mechanical structures that form the antenna Motors and controllers that position the reflectors Radio frequency transmit/receive electronics, high-speed modems, and software systems that deliver a stream of bits to the end customer Low-profile, high-frequency radomes for the airborne terminals Requirements2+ years hands-on development experience with C/C++/Python based application on a Linux platform 2+ years experiences in full software development cycle including requirement analysis, design, programming, testing, debugging Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline Experience with a distributed application development Knowledge of multi-threaded applications and inter-process communication Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Experience with CM and issue tracking tools such as Perforce, GIT, Artifactory, JIRA, Fisheye Ability to analyze and test software on antenna systems at Duluth outdoor testing facility Familiarity with networking and cloud computing concept US Citizenship Required Travel Up to 10% PreferencesKnowledge of virtualization and experience with virtualization tools highly desired Continuous Integration & development (CI/CD) experience AWS experience is a plus Experience with a Message broker base application development (such as RabbitMQ) Experience with Ansible playbook-based SW/system deployment Experience with NMS/EMS system Radio Frequency and/or Antenna Experience To learn more about this site and other office locations, please click here!
