Reporting to the Sr. Director, Grants Management and Payroll, we are seeking a Grants Administrator who is a relationship builder to manage assigned grants and contracts in liaison with our program staff. Must be able to see the big picture and the fine details to assist with preparation and review of applications, budgets, budget narratives, and expenditure reports to ensure pre- and post-award compliance with legal, reporting and federal and non-federal funder requirements.
Qualified candidates will possess the following:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with some accounting coursework required. CPA preferred.
2-3 years’ related grants management or accounting experience required, including budget preparation, reporting, and using financial database systems.
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders and strong working knowledge of governmental regulations and reporting websites essential.
Experience with project or grants management software and working in public accounting or a non-profit a plus.
Strong technical acumen required with proficiency in MS Office and financial systems, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with Acumatica software strongly preferred.
Must be able to maintain a high level of accuracy, secure confidential information, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, meet tight deadlines, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency at researching and applying technical guidance. Ability to embrace change, promote innovative solutions to process improvement, and translate financial language into non-financial terminology for program staff is essential. Some evening and weekend work may be required, particularly around month and year-end close.
