This is a part-time position at approximately 20% FTE, and as needed.
Act as principle advisor to NAVSEA SUPSALV on matters associated with the study and treatment of decompression sickness and arterial/cerebral gas embolism and experimental protocol and procedures, and support study development and associated reports.
Duties include assisting with medical data analysis and preparation of technical reports and memoranda for publication, including preparation of draft sections for the US Navy Diving Manual and other manuals as directed. Duties also include consulting on emerging medical and operational issues including plans for submarine rescue; gathering and reviewing medical and scientific articles for inclusion in the NAVSEA electronic medical library; and review for technical merit research proposals for the Deep Submergence Biomedical Development Program.

Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret.
Medical Board Certified and a sub-specialty certificate in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.
PhD Degree in Medicine.
Twenty-five (25) years of experience in the hyperbaric medicine and diving physiology.
