Job Description


Northern Safety & Industrial (NSI), a member of the Würth Group, is in search of a Safety Technician to work onsite at one of our major customers in the Pace, FL area! We are looking for a unique individual who is professional, safety focused and able to be self-directed. 

Primary responsibility will be to inspect the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assets at the customer’s site in Pace Florida.  Responsibilities will not only include the inspection process, but also identifying and handling assets that are in non-compliance and regularly communicating with management on the status of their equipment.


Daily duties include:

  • Inspecting all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the customer’s site making daily rounds through the large facility and ensuring the equipment meets regulatory compliance obligations and conformance standards.
  • Identifying assets that are in non-compliance and making decisions in regards to removing and/or replacing them from service.
  • Reporting on the condition of these assets to management and working with the customer to rectify any issues found.
  • Documenting in the action item log and continuously following- up to ensure measures were implemented and are working effectively.
  • Completing projects in a timely manner by organizing, planning and problem solving issues that arise.
  • Demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment and professionalism when representing NSI Company at the customer’s site.


What are we looking for in an applicant?

  • High school diploma or equivalent required with 2 years or more related experience.
  • Familiarity with a variety of industrial products and a broad knowledge of the procurement process is preferred.
  • Knowledge of or experience with OSHA, EPA, other state and federal regulations, etc.
  • Ability to use personal computers and applicable computer software.
  • A valid and clean driver’s license is required.
  • Strong administrative, planning and organizing experience is necessary.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills is a must and direct customer interaction and problem solving experience is a plus.
  • Ability to be objective and open-minded when working with others, but also capable of being self- paced in your daily duties.
  • The ability to wear personal protective gear appropriately.
