Summary/Purpose:
This position is responsible for operating production equipment to manufacture plastic lining using established standards and practices.
Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
High School graduate, GED certification and/or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
Previous experience with lamination of substrates/plastics is a plus.
Language Skills:
Basic English communication skills. Ability to understand safety rules and regulations, work orders, operating procedures and training materials. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; bend; crouch; reach; kneel, crawl, use hands & fingers; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds, and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ambient temperature can be as high as 110 degrees during summer months.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Must be GMP compliant with gowning and proper attire/uniforms (i.e., head/shoe/beard covers and eye protection) where required. May be required to wear ear plugs.
