RSS Job Description

The GSS Regional Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Guard Force operations, effectively handle client issues and concerns, mentor security supervisors, and ensuring a safe work environment in a specific region. This position supports initiatives to strengthen partnerships between external partners and security management.

Under the guidance of the GSS Security Analyst, the Regional Security Supervisor will work collaboratively with peers and site security supervisors with operational tasks, event planning and administrative tasks. With proven understanding of both corporate security knowledge and operational best practices, this role is responsible for creating a positive and team-focused environment to build a dynamic security leadership team.

  • Act as the liaison between security managers, GPM and Palantir security
  • Reports to AUS GPM to ensure all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met. Liaises with the GSS Regional Security Analyst (RSA) on a daily basis for daily operational and tactical knowledge.
  • Ensure all Security Supervisors current practices, operations, training, and development of their security team is compliant with company and Palantir policies.
  • Oversee the review and development of training and SOPs.
  • Collaborate with key partners to identify, analyze, and solve problems for continuous
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting as required by GSS management, deliver metrics on performance, output, outcomes, and impact.
  • Establish and maintain excellent business relationships with the client and support all regional site locations as needed, in succession to the Regional Security Analyst.
  • Assist the Regional Security Analyst in developing or assisting in the development of security plans and procedures, implementation of post assignments for specified locations.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive program that includes following designated orders and overall reporting procedures for the designated region and specified site locations.
  • Provide immediate and timely response to any problems or concerns proposing viable solutions.
  • Audit methods, procedures, and operations at specified locations in order to promote a proactive solutions approach.
  • Work closely with the GPM to ensure locations are receiving the support necessary to remain in compliance with the contract.
  • Order supplies, uniforms, and equipment as necessary to support site operations.
  • Managing a large guard force across multiple regions throughout – as well as serving in support roles to the global team
  • Identifying and managing emerging threats
  • Assisting in conducting security risk assessments and surveys
    Maintaining situational awareness of the area of responsibility
  • Managing access control processes and equipment
  • Overseeing the deployment and quality of physical security
  • Planning and staffing very large special events
  • Security incident reporting and when needed investigations
  • Interface with Site Security Supervisors
  • Develop and provide security awareness sessions
  • Assist the RSA in managing security incidents and crisis
  • Conduct security audits and manage gaps to closure
  • Conduct comprehensive quality checks of all security services
  • Conducting basic investigations/fact findings to incidents
  • Service Level Agreements/ Key Performance
  • Indicators, capacity, and workflow plans for single /multiple functional areas in one or more sites
  • Able to define metrics, goals, and strategic direction across functional area(s) in support of overall group vision
  • Leads initiatives and champions projects within and outside of organization or region; influences all participants when driving projects to ensure success
  • Identifies opportunities and risks, dives deep, and works with internal and external teams to implement solutions
    Communicates effectively with senior management and leaders across the organization to determine security priorities and direction
      • Creates the development of internal and external security related communications across organization
  • Creates goal-setting, performance management, and retention strategies across multiple teams
    Leads and drives development of security personnel skills sets


Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a large guard force across multiple regions throughout – as well as serving in support roles to the global team
  • Responds to or directs regional teams response to critical incidents at client locations.
  • Reports directly to AUS GPM with daily contact and reporting line to GSS Physical Security Lead
  • Provide leadership guidance to supervisors in the Americas, ensuring their team’s operational needs are met, as well as training and readiness meet Palantir’s expectations.
  • Identifying and managing emerging threats
  • Assisting in conducting security risk assessments and surveys
  • Maintaining situational awareness of the area of responsibility
  • Managing access control processes and equipment

  • Develop and provide security awareness sessions
  • Manage security incidents and crisis

  • Budget and financial management of areas of responsibility
  • Conducting basic investigations/fact findings to incidents
  • Developing security service and security integrator vendor relationships
  • Service Level Agreements/ Key Performance
  • Indicators, capacity, and workflow plans for single /multiple functional areas in one or more sites
  • Able to define metrics, goals, and strategic direction across functional area(s) in support of overall group vision
  • Leads initiatives and champions projects within and outside of organization or region; influences all participants when driving projects to ensure success
  • Identifies opportunities and risks, dives deep, and works with internal and external teams to implement solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security, Law Enforcement, Business Management, Accounting or equivalent education or experience
  • CPP, PSP, CISSP or similar certification
  • Strong working knowledge of physical security systems and components
  • Understanding of crisis operations, risk management, and crisis communication
  • Experience in providing security oversight at high rise buildings or other office settings / equivalent
  • Experience with access control systems
  • Experience writing and publishing security standards
  • Intermediate to advanced use of Microsoft Word,
  • PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Skilled in developing metrics and in conducting security related trend analysis
  • Ability to manage operations and participate in the development of strategic program plans
  • Experience in briefing senior management
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting basic investigations / fact finding
  • Familiarity with global security organizations
  • Ability to develop and deliver security awareness training programs
  • Understanding of business continuity and incident command system
  • Experience with the collection and analysis of threat intelligence
  • Ability to speak multiple languages that are common in the region is a plus
  • Preferred basic knowledge of access control system
  • Prior law enforcement or similar military experience
  • California Guard Card is a requirement
