Job Description

Allied Universal Security Services, the largest security services company in North America, is currently seeking a SVP/ Chief Safety and Risk Officer. We are considering candidates to work out of our HQW Office in Santa Ana, CA as well as HQE Office in Conshohocken, PA. The CSRO will lead a team charged with developing, implementing and overseeing execution of a comprehensive enterprise safety strategy, management and the company’s insurance program while identifying, measuring and mitigating operational risk. The leader will report to the EVP/ General Counsel and lead the corporate level oversight for the Safety and Risk Program for a 230,000 employee, $7.5B+ dynamic, growing company. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Drive a global safety culture by effectively communicating an enhanced vision, accountability and metrics across the organization to ensure meaningful improvement on safety performance, claims and insurance expense Develop an understanding and leverage various internal technology platforms: Heliaus, a comprehensive workforce management solution with AI Technology, that is leveraged by the field for incident management DOMO, data analytics tools to track performance and areas of improvement Claims Management Software Work with the VP of Safety to conduct training sessions on various risk/ safety items and develop risk/ safety related resource materials Support acquisition and integration teams on insurance and risk management matters Handle other requests in support of Risk Management/Safety functions Advise executive team and operators on business and transactional risk matters Supervise insurance broker and claims administrator relationships Purchase insurance, maintain relationships with insurance industry vendors and present risk profile to potential insurers Oversee internal and external claim handlers responsible for efficient administration and resolution of pending and threatened claims Claim Management – Supervise claim management, resolve high profile claims and support team Risk Management – counsel executive team, and senior operators on risk issues and mitigation strategies Insurance and Bond Programs – Determines favorable insurance structure and strategy. Negotiates and purchases company insurance/risk management programs. Maintains Relationships with insurance and surety markets. Determines insurance program marketing objectives and develops strategy for selection and engagement of insurance carriers, sureties, brokers, including collateral funding REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s Degree in a related Safety Field plus at least 15 years of experience overseeing a Safety and Risk Management Program for an industry leading company. CSP and OSHA/ CAL OSHA Training is required. PHD in Health and Safety is a plus along with ASSP, EHS, CPCU Certifications and oversight within Emergency Response.
