Job Description


  • Develops and oversees the execution of Federal plans product strategy, standards, infrastructure and availability which result in increasing and retaining Aetna membership.
  • Provides support for significant product initiatives.
  • May independently manage small, simple projects based on level of project management, product and systems.


Fundamental Components:
  • Based on established strategy, completes assigned project tasks in support of product management and development activities.
  • Independently manages projects
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop and implement plans to achieve Federal Team product strategies
  • Communicates product standards and policies and refers complex requests to appropriate SME
  • Participates in idea generation and project vision session for the development of new products and product enhancements
  • Gathers feedback and provides analysis in support of continual product improvement
  • Develop in depth product knowledge, working with partners in Medicare, and function as team SME on plan and benefit questions
  • Works with internal operations team on annual implementation, service issues, etc.
  • Develop training materials, in conjunction with the communication managers and operations team, to train volunteers/contractors and customer service
  • Consult with team on sales and marketing initiatives to craft/deliver optimal messaging
  • Assist with proposals and other plan sponsor deliverables
  • Contribute to product and benefit design
  • Support the field sales team as needed by attending meetings, conducting webinars, or handling appointments scheduled through our website
Background Experience:
  • Prior product development experience preferred
  • Three years of experience with Medicare/Medicare Advantage products
  • Strong health care background with knowledge of Medicare policy and regulations
  • Strong organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office products
