Description: The Director of HealthPlan implementation, will play a critical role in bringing HealthHUBs capabilities to market for our HealthPlan Clients. Core focus area will include building deep relationships with Health Plan stakeholders & developing and managing implementation strategies and roadmap to enable end to end implementation of HealthHUBs capabilities flawlessly in collaboration with cross-functional Health Plan stakeholders. The Director will organize and align cross-functional teams across enterprise to ensure crisp definition of all activities needed to ensure successful launches and pilots across the Health Plan segments(i.e. Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid). The Director will lead, manage, track and report on progress serving as a catalyst for the team and a point of escalation for risks and issues.

This position will directly report into HealthHUB Implementation lead and will work closely with colleagues across all major CVS's enterprise businesses (i.e. Health Benefits, Retail, PBM). This role will manage the piloting and roll-out of new healthcare capabilities in alignment with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders in a highly matrixed environment.

This role would suit someone with a strong background in managing complex enterprise wide initiatives, experience/ passion for bringing new healthcare capabilities to market, and ability to work in an entrepreneurial fast-paced environment.

Given the complexity & enterprise wide scale, the ideal candidate is someone with strong leadership skills, who has managed multiple cross functional teams at enterprise scale, and who has significant experience in Program and Portfolio Management.


Fundamental Components:
  • Maintain advanced-level understanding of the HealthHUB strategy, customers, healthcare, and regulatory environment, as well as HealthHUB product vision and strategy
  • Influence HealthHUB strategy for payors and develop execution strategies to develop high-level implementation roadmap for activation across Payor segments
  • Direct and Execute the development and management of detailed program plan to manage HealthHUB capability delivery and commercialization for Payor segment
  • Lead effectively across Payor business areas by building and leveraging strong relationships; Identify and mobilize cross-functional support required to achieve business objectives, including areas of tactical and strategic support
  • Maintain strong understanding of payor Sales & Marketing activities & timelines, product implementation & governance processes, and key stakeholders across payor segments
  • Understand Payor customer needs, to drive strong consumer experience across HealthHUB capabilities
  • Provide day to day oversight to various implementation teams to manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, and issues to ensure successful execution and schedule adherence
  • Manage financial planning and operational budget to ensure cost optimization and expected value realization
  • Measure program outcomes, drive change and enable continuous process improvement across the organization challenging others toward designing and implementing innovative solutions aligned with the strategy and vision of the HealthHUBs
  • Elevate risks, communicate dependencies, and recommend alternative solutions in timely manner that allows for mitigation and/or strategic reaction
  • Take full accountability for end result, serve as Payor implementation expert, and leverage all resources available to achieve objectives
Background Experience:
  • 8+ years or work experience, with strong preference for experience in management consulting, Program/Portfolio management, and strategic execution within HealthPlan industry
  • Strong understanding of Payor sales cycles, marketing & commercialization activities, and business operations across different payor segments
  • Strong business program management capabilities leveraging Agile/ Waterfall tools, and methodologies - proven track record in effectively managing complex portfolio of initiatives from inception to completion
  • Experience with commercializing and launching innovative benefit navigation, care management, wellness, and/or retail health products and capabilities
  • Strong business knowledge in one or more of following business areas: Commercial Health Plans, Medicare, Medicaid or Specialty Business
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills, with executive presence and ability to influence across functions and at all levels of the organization
  • Highly organized, and able to provide positive leadership across multiple cross-functional teams in a fast-paced complex/ matrixed working environment
  • Self-motivated, entrepreneurial, and high-energy individual who can easily function in a high-demand, performance-driven environment
