About the Role The Participation Team are responsible for providing a quality service to both internal and external customers across the APAC region which is delivered in a timely manner with a high degree of accuracy and ensuring all participation transactions including but not limited to the set up and creation of the facilities, invoice purchasing, participation certificates and oversight of outbound and inbound payments meet business requirements.
This role, reporting to the Asia Operations Manager, will be responsible for leading and managing the team, in the daily processing tasks to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness and acts as contact point for escalated and high-impact customer service issues. In addition, there will be a requirement to work with the Commercial teams across APAC region to ensure the team are able to meet the needs of any new customers that are onboarded. There will be a requirement to be the SME and key stakeholder for any business projects that impact the Participation Team, including but not limited to the successful migration to the new servicing platform in late 2020. This role will require achievement of all Key Performance Indicators and targets as well as key risk and control indicators as set out by the business and ensure that the team maintains compliance with all regulatory, legislative and business requirements. Developing and implementing any required training for individual team members
Create & maintain strong key stakeholder engagement with the regional Capital Markets Leader and team to understand development and strategy and attend relevant customer meetings as required
Development of strategies to support business growth opportunities within the region, that will require the support of the Participation Team; escalate timely any issues or concerns and work collaboratively to develop and implement solutions that meet the customer and business needs
Escalation point for any issues that arise in relation to participation deals, take ownership to resolve working collaboratively with other team members and functions to provide effective solutions
Be accountable and promote simplification methodology across the Team
Ensure any projects or initiatives that impact the Participation Team are correctly resourced, delivered effectively & efficiently and on time. This will require regular reporting to key stakeholders and the leadership teams, including the Asia Operations Manager
To proactively investigate and recommend process improvements, defining business impact and opportunity, including a comprehensive implementation plan
Ensure processes are executed and maintained in line with regulatory and Wells Fargo standards at all times and ensure that records are maintained to the highest standard. Raising any potential concerns in a timely manner, taking the ownership to investigate and resolve, including oversight to any changes that may be required
At least 3 years' operational experience gained in a financial services environment or equivalent
Experience in managing, leading, coaching and developing teams
High degree of understanding Commercial Distribution Finance operating systems, including AIMS and TRIAD (TRIAD will be replaced by Loan IQ late 2020)
Highly self-motivated with positive mindset that can influence and motivate the team
Ability to present information and ideas that can inspire confidence amongst teams
Strong business understanding and analytical skills
Strong stakeholder management and proven influencing skills
Accountable for daily work allocation, identifying roadblocks and proactive cross functional communication
A passion for accuracy and accountability and the ability to instill this within the team
Problem solving, especially the ability to develop solutions to meet customers' needs
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel
Fluent in English and Mandarin, both written and verbal, other languages desirable
Experience of working in a pan-Asia or global company
